From his foster Mom:
Buddy was found tied up to a fence. I don't own cats so I can't say if he's good with them. I do have birds and he's shows a lot of interest in them. So I'm going to say that he isn't good w/birds. He's in a crate when he's in the house. Buddy does like to play with our other dog. But, I do know they can be protective when in a crate like that. Also, that was the first couple weeks that I had him. And hasn't done it since. At this point he probably sounds bad, but he is SUPER sweet with people. He is a fast learner and WANTS to please and be with people. He doesn't like being the outcast at all. He has no intentions of leaving my yard. Also, we do have horses and at first he chased them. But he learned very quickly not to. By me getting after him and by our mare scaring him. I trust him now completely around the horses. He's had zero aggression when he is disciplined. This dog has had no type of training or direction, playing, toys, or much human interaction until now and it's very apparent. So, he's like an 8 week puppy, he gives you all he's got because he has no concept of personnel space or how to hold back. All in 100% innocence. Meaning, playing he is rough so small kids would probably not be good, only because he's hyper and absolutely loves attention. He is learning fast though, like I said. Learning what's expected of him. I see him to be no more than 2 years of he's that old. He is small bodied with a big head. Takes food extremely gentle. House breaking we are still working on, he had never been in a house till I brought him home. Doesn't leave my side when I'm outside. Is super good with our neighbors also. Takes treats from them and when their dogs come up to the fence he shows no signs of aggression. So other dogs is an area someone can work with if they feel confident and have other dogs that could hold their own if something were to happen.
Buddy is fixed now. Also has been with my other two males. He and my Husky play constantly, that's all they do lol. He eats and sleeps with everyone. Housebroken, he picked that up super fast. Just all around a happy and good boy. I would still suggest him going to someone who is familiar with the breed or similar, he needs to stay active and still needs work just because he is young and has tons of energy. He has been around my two nieces who are toddlers, but just for a few minutes. I can't say how well he would do with small kids based off of that. He plays rough and could easily playfully hurt a child. He loves kids tho'. He's also good w/pet birds. He's small but is a tank and still isn't quite aware of his strength or that he should hold back some.
