Charlie the Dog needs a home

Foster Care! Howdy, I’m Charlie! I’m a 2 year spayed female gray Pit Bull.  


I’m smart, affectionate, very goofy, and did I say smart? I love training and learning new tricks. While they thought it was cool to call me Charlie, in truth, it makes most people assume I'm a boy when actually I'm a girl. I'm considering changing it to Charlee cause maybe that will help avoid the confusion! I have the warmest smile known to humankind. Folks smile when they see my smile, which makes me smile even more, and pretty soon we have a smile fest on our hands. If smile fests sound like your thing, ask for Charlie, as in she, not he. I’m looking for a home where I can make my people laugh, get lots of exercise and training, and become a well-mannered canine citizen. I get along with most dogs and if you have a cat that likes dogs, we just might hit it off with a proper introduction.

Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Our hours are weekdays from 11am-7pm and weekends from 11am-6pm (closed major holidays). Interested adopters must arrive at least 1 hour before close. 



We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!

Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
