ROO the Dog needs a home

Roo is a sweet, very affectionate dog who is longing for  companionship! She's about 8 years old and has a mellow disposition, and quite a dignified face. She's a mixed-breed dog and weighs about 53 pounds. Our volunteer dogwalkers say she walks well on her leash, as you can see on her video, and she's housetrained. We believe she'd do best as the only pet in the home, and with older children. She knows basic commands, such as sit, and accepts treats gently. She loves to be petted, and she'll sit right by your side and perhaps gently lean into you or rest her head in your lap. As you pet her, she'll gaze into your eyes like you're the only person in the world. She also enjoys playing fetch or an easy run. She has a lovely blue-grey coat and soulful brown eyes.
