Boxer / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Penny the Dog needs a home

Lucky Penny was found curled up on a broken couch beside a dumpster, cold and hungry, as a just young puppy. When brought inside she cuddled up with her foster brothers and has been just the sweetest girl!

This little girl is thought to be about 4 months old, and weighs 25 lbs. Penny’s breeed background isn’t certain, but the vet’s best guess is a boxer / lab mix. Her soulful eyes and gorgeous brindle coat make her a standout in any room! She’s gotten along great with the dogs in her foster home, but hasn’t had the chance yet to meet cats and kiddos.

While this girl is energetic and playful. when it’s nap time curls up beside you on the couch and breathes a happy “sigh”. She is excellent on walks, staying right by your side. Penny can be both a great workout companion and a dedicated couch potato. Pretty Penny would also love to have a yard to sniff and run in, playing to her gentle heart’s content.

If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!

The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Penny is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
