Adopt a Rottweiler (short coat)
Roxy the Dog needs a home
Update:
Roxy: I had fun with my new foster and housemate today. Boston, who is 60lb 8 months old male, and I played Rotti style in the living room...a lot of play growl, barking, boxing, downward dog and play air and ear mouthing. I like to follow Ms. Nicole around the house and if I need to pee I pace near the door; I know what “outside” means too. I like to chew and play with the Kong/toys and if it bounces away from me and Boston gets it I’m ok with that. I’m ok if Boston takes one of my chew bones if I’m not attending it but I’ll give a warning growl if he stands over me and tries to take it from me while I’m eating it. When Ms. Nicole is treat training I won’t try to snatch Boston’s treat or get mad at him when he tries to jump in the middle of us to steal mine.
Ms. Nicole took my dinner away from me while I was eating several times and I was ok with it
.
I’m 2 years old and really playful which Boston loves but I get tired and love to nap on my bed when I can. I have basic training but I’ll need a refresher course so I can learn who my new pack leader.
?Background:
Roxy was purchased originally from a pet store and given as a gift by a generous older man in NYC. She was surrendered to the shelter when her owner died and the older man could not take care of her because of his failing health. Roxy has lived with a chihuahua and was often visited by the owner's grandchildren. She is house trained and very sweet. Roxy will be available in mid-December.
