Adopt a Doberman Pinscher (short coat)
Miss Darla - Courtesy Listing the Dog needs a home
Darla is a 3 year old fawn colored female that was returned to Southwest Ohio Doberman Rescue after being in a home for almost 2 years. It was not her fault, they started their family and she was not doing well with the crawling baby. A home with teenagers would be fine, just no children younger than teens.
Miss Darla weighs about 60 pounds and her coat is just gorgeous. She lived briefly with an indoor cat (for about 2 weeks while recovering from her spay) and did chase it, so maybe a home with a dog savvy indoor cat would be okay. Darla was an only dog in her adoptive home but had been around other dogs as she used to visit a family friends dogs at their home and played fine. She also briefly lived around some very chill male Dobies on her way to coming into our program the first time. She has been playing with a very submissive young male Boxer while boarding with us and they play very well and he takes her Alpha behavior in stride. Rides in a car like a champ! She will need a physical fence, so please
no invisible fences. We feel she would be very happy in a home with modest activity and commotion and as either an only buddy to you, or as a friend to an easy going male dog pal. If you are interested in Miss Darla please email
