Beautiful Starfish is a star indeed! She’s got the whole package: she’s smart, sweet, and has a stunning smile that is guaranteed to brighten anyone’s day. Starfish is a very affectionate girl who loves to be around people. Starfish is currently enjoying the good life from the comfort of a foster while she awaits her forever family, and her foster parents have nothing but complimentary things to say about her. Starfish is a wonderful houseguest who is non-destructive, stays off the couch when asked, quiet, rarely barks, crate trained, and completely house trained. She loves to just follow her humans around and is always very interested in whatever her people are cooking, eating, reading, or watching. Starfish has an endless zest for life and nothing ever seems to bring her down. She is great with people of all ages, even little kids, although she doesn’t seem to realize how big she is (around 45-50 pounds) and tries to sit in everyone’s laps. At 6 and a half years old as of November 2017, Starfish still wakes up with a peppy happy-go-lucky energy every day and her foster parents dub her the happiest dog in the world. Starfish has gone through a training program with Pawtopia Dog Training where she learned sit and down, and is working on stay and come. Starfish worked hard in her classes with her manners with other dogs, and still needs a little more practice being introduced to other dogs and cats. Since Starfish is very people motivated, she will do best with a family who is dedicated to spending the time and effort to continue her training. Believe us when we tell you this happy, loving, intelligent, fun-loving and wonderfully affectionate girl is well worth the effort!
