Holly the Dog needs a home
Meet Miss Holly! Holly is approximately 2 ½ years old and came to Minnesota Boxer Rescue from a puppy mill rescue situation which means that she is a very special girl that will need extra patience and love to help her feel comfortable and safe around humans.
While a blessing to be rescued, Holly had to learn how to be in a loving and safe home. Stairs, TV, hugs, and snuggles were all unfamiliar and scary to Miss Holly. Thankfully, she now has a bond with her foster Mom and the two resident dogs are helping her learn how to trust humans, enjoy being a dog, and learn what love is. Most people, especially men, are pretty scary to Holly but she does snuggle and give her foster Mom kisses. She has learned the joys of toys and will run around and play with any she can find. She is really a sweet pup that is already showing her devotion and love to those she can trust.
She has come a long way in the foster home already and will continue to improve with patience and time. Holly does well with other dogs and has lived a pack life at the breeder; she may do much better in learning how to be a family pet if there is another dog in the house to show her the way. Since she is very fearful of men still, it would be best that anyone interested in adopting Holly be experienced with puppy mill girls, have patience, and has a predominant female caretaker in the household. She crates well, knows her name, will come to her foster mom, walks well on her leash, and is a very quiet pup (has not barked yet).
