Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

DJ is such an awesome dog, a true catch.  He is super chill, loves to hang out with his people AND he is also super fun and spunky.  He has two speeds, he's either on or off.  He's a bouncy, playful guy with lots of personality.  He loves to play tug o' war and is looking for an active best friend who can take him running, walking, biking and on all of their adventures.  He is a lover of the outdoors and often wants to spend a lot of his time out, but we definitely want him to be a family dog that comes in when the family is inside.

DJ plays rough with other dogs, which is great if the other dog tolerates that and has the endurance, but if matched to a family with another dog they will need to be supervised closely until they have an established relationship and we know they are great playmates.  If he does have a playmate, it definitely needs to be a large dog, no small or fragile playmates for DJ.

His impressive jumping skills are fun to watch and he would be amazing at agility, however we also need to make sure that his new family has a fence that will keep him securely inside of it when playing in his yard.  He is crate trained and does pretty well on his leash, although he does get a little excited and pull.   

Although DJ is a very athletic boy, he absolutely LOVES belly rubs and getting snuggles in with his people.  He will get cuddled up and then go play and then come back for more love.  He's really a great companion and super loyal.
