This is our sweet boy, HUGO!
Hugo was surrendered to us by his owner when the owner determined having three dogs was a little too much for him. Hugo has some anxiety problems related to stress that cause him to chase his tail, with a little bit of OCD mixed in. Much of it relates to not getting enough exercise and being in a stressful environment. Because of this, and because he was `taught` by his first owners to do so, Hugo chased and bit as his tail. Staff has worked to correct his behavior and help his anxiety, and his tail was removed to prevent further damage.
Hugo is a fantastic dog for someone who needs a partner to run or play with, or somewhere that he has a job to do. Hugo seems to get along with SOME dogs but not all, and would not be recommended with small children due to his exuberance. No small pets should be in the home. While he is fully of energy, once you burn him down he loves to snuggle and just wants to be with people to give hugs and kisses. What a baby!
