Boxer / Mixed (short coat) Dog

CAREY GRANT the Dog needs a home

Carey Grant is one handsome Boxer mix boy that is about 6 years old and weighs 60 pounds.  This love of a dog was in a shelter in Nashville, TN but no one goes there to adopt much at all.  This boy was definitely worth the save and the heartworm treatment that we did for him to insure he was healthy and ready for a new chapter in his life.  He actually acts like a 2-3 year old dog as he loves to run circles in the yard when he gets excited.  He is learning to walk on the leash, and will even carry it to the door for you when he knows he is going outside!  What a smart boy!  He still pulls a bit when exploring new areas or sees another dog walking.  He knows how to sit, but recall and other commands are a work in progress and he is great home alone for a few hours and also is good in a crate if you are gone for the day at work.  Carey Grant is currently not allowed on furniture, but he is a snuggler and would love someone who would let him lay on the couch!  He loves his people!  He is pretty good with other dogs but he does take a little time to warm up if they are not laid back like his foster brother Cooper is.  Carey Grant takes it slow and easy in determining if a new dog is going to be his buddy.  He will chase cats so let’s not move him in to a house with any.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or [email protected]
