Romeo is a handsome, sweet but shy/timid 10 year old.  He’s a big 17lb boy.  He was well taken care of.  Due to the health of his owner he is now with DDRTX.  We're glad his owner has peace of mind knowing he'll be taken care of.  He is good with people and would do well with one other small dog however no big dogs as they scare him.  He likes to play and be chased around outside.  He has a tendency to jump on the couch or chair and his foster family is working to break him of this habit.  He is crate trained when no one is home but at night he prefers to sleep in the big bed under the covers.  Romeo would like someone to "talk" to.  Once he is comfortable with you, he will be vocal (barks when he wants out, when he wants back in, when his bowl of water is dry, when he wants you to play with him).  He is super sweet and does not have a mean bone in his body at all.  He is not aggressive at all, but scared and nervous all the time.  He would do best in a quiet home, with older considerate kids, preferably with someone elderly or have someone at home most of the time that can work with him or someone with experience with fear dogs.  He does not like laminate wood floors, the noise and texture on his feet scares him.  He is slowly getting used to it but walks best on carpet and tile.

If you're looking for a lap pet and someone to keep you company while you read or watch TV Romeo Too is your guy.
