Java Juice the Dog needs a home

Java Juice, age 14, came into All Texas Dachshund Rescue in the summer of 2016. She had been dumped near the Texas A&M University campus where some kindhearted college students picked her up and kept her safe while they located rescue with ATDR. She is a very sweet dog who spends much of her day sleeping. She becomes active at mealtimes because she loves to eat. Java expresses her wishes to her foster mom by crying gently until her wishes are granted which is always. Java is very smart and is doggy door trained.  She walks with difficulty due to arthritis in her right wrist and ankle for which she takes daily medication.  Because she tested light heartworm positive, Java is on the slow-kill method of heartworm treatment.
