Domestic Short Hair (short coat) Cat

Duke the Cat needs a home

Instant Purr Recipe: Just add love! Duke instantly begins to purr as soon as you pet him! Bright, curious and alert, he loves people and gets along fine with other cats, too. Born in 2009, Duke is a handsome boy with unique, short whiskers that curl inward. He loves to go on stroller rides. Duke came to the Sanctuary when his elderly person was no longer able to care for him. He's a friendly, responsive cat who seeks out contact with people and appreciates whatever attention he receives. Duke has a condition that makes it difficult for him to walk or stand up on his own. We think it was caused by brain trauma. He is currently on medication which has improved his ability to walk. He can eat and drink on his own. He doesn't usually make it to the litter box on his own, but he'll use it when taken to the box. Duke is very cooperative about taking his daily bath and medication, and seems to understand that his caregivers are helping him. Duke doesn't know he has " special needs? and just wants to be accepted as who he is: an affectionate cat with lots of love to give. We'd love it if you could come to the Sanctuary to meet him first, and to give him a ride to his new home with you. Could you be that one in a million person who could love and cherish this incredibly sweet boy, and call him your own?
