Connor the Dog needs a home
Conner was pulled by Operation Pets Alive for one of their transports to the Northeast. He was not feeling 100% but, unfortunately, this is not particularly unusual for shelter pets. With medical attention they usually recover quickly. In Conner's case, he was less fortunate. He was diagnosed with Distemper which cannot be "cured" and is sometimes deadly. Conner has some residual effects - a slight jaw chatter from time to time & sometimes a small tick in his forehead. Operation Pets Alive has seen many distemper survivors have a good quality of life. In fact, our founder's dog is a distemper survivor. Conner is a gentle guy that likes to play, loves attention and enjoys his creature comforts. He's a big boy, but with a little more leash work, will be easy to handle. Conner likes other dogs and likes to play around with a ball and other toys. I believe he is house broken but he's just now getting free roam of the house. He's pretty good in his crate but would rather have his freedom. Conner would make a great pet for someone that loves the companionship of a big pooch!
