This dog is heartworm positive but please do not rule him/her out because of it. There's a treatment that is not as hard on the dog as the one you may have heard of and it's FREE.
Papaya doesn't like being at adoptions much. She just curls up into a ball and pretends to sleep. However, at her foster's house, she is quite the busy body. She is curious about everything inside and outside. She does like her blankets and will make herself comfortable on the couch. Papaya does well with other dogs. Foster doesn't have any cats, so unsure if she does well with cats. She is a fluffy girl whose fur is as soft as cotton. She came to us very matted, we did the best we could getting her mat free. But a visit to a professional groomer would bring out the very best in her. She is going to make some lucky person a proud pet owner.
$150 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies and other vaccinations, heartworm test, deworming, and heartworm and flea preventatives while the dog is in our care.
