Adopt a American Bulldog / Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

 Only hours left before Cindy was going to be euthanized, and the shelter called and  asked us to take her instead.  The people at the shelter loved this girl, and didn't want to do it.  But her time had come.  As always, Crossing Paths brought her into rescue and discovered that she was quite pregnant, the next day giving birth to  three males (Cocoa, Clay, Chester) and two females  (Cleo, Cricket).  They are also up for adoption.  Although we only knew Cindy's history as far back as the shelter that had called us, we could tell just by looking at her that she had had multiple pregnancies.   We don't know if that was simply because she was on her own, or, and this is very likely, if she was used as a breeding dog by uncaring humans.  No matter her experience, however, she came to us a sweet and loving girl.  She is shy but will come to you in a gentle manner, and you soon realize that all of her movements are gentle, almost poetic.  However, she is selective about which dogs she likes, and one has to wonder what she may have encountered with dogs before. As a result, we don't feel that she would do well in a home with any other pets or children. At 3 years old, Cindy is an American Bulldog/Terrier mix.  Her short coat is silver and white, and she weighs 65 lbs.  She's a good girl who needs a forever home that, hopefully can offer her a fireplace where she will feel warm, comforted, secure, and loved.  We feel that her time has come, but to be adopted, not euthanized.  (posted 1/29/17, ME, N/A)(bio revised 7/29/17)
