Adopt a Border Collie / Labrador Retriever (medium coat)
Henry the Dog needs a home
Henry appears to be mostly border collie and we are guessing that he possibly has some labrador retriever in him, however, we can't be sure. He was at the vet's and weighed 52 pounds. The vet believes he is probably around 1 year old.
Henry loves everyone! He likes to wrap his paws around you and give lots of kisses :-). He is very friendly and sweet! His foster home consists of 2 other male dogs and he does fine with them. Being that he is predominately border collie, he does have some herding tendencies and has some energy as well. Exercise is a must for him and we feel as though he would do best in a home with older children due to his herding tendencies.
We believe Henry was an outdoor only dog, however, he appears to be housetrained. His foster mom is working with him on crate training in which he is not super fond of, but he does tolerate it (with some whining).
Henry is current on his vaccinations and is being neutered on February 22nd. He will be available for adoption starting the weekend of February 24th as long as he is feeling okay. Henry did test positive for Lyme disease and Ehrlichia (another tick borne disease) and we are currently treating him for these diseases. His adoption fee is $300.
If you are interested in adoptiong this handsome boy, please submit an application on our website at www.worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions you may have, please send an email to his foster mom, Allison at [email protected].
Thank you for your interest in a rescue dog!
