Cooper is young, handsome, and FUN! He looooves people and is such a lovable guy. A Good Samaritan is helping adorable Cooper find a new home, after his last home had to give him up.
Cooper is very friendly and has never met a person he doesn't like! He is very strong and due to that and his enthusiasm, would do best in a home with adults at the age he is. He LOVES to have fun!! He sits for treats and works with a trainer weekly. Two visits with this trainer are included in the adoption fee to learn the commands he has been working on. He has learned to walk well with a Freedom Harness, which will be given to the new owner, including his Kong and toys. A dog crate will also be provided as he has had some separation anxiety in the past. If you are in the east valley (Mesa), Cooper’s guardian will dog sit free for life if you work and need him to go on bathroom breaks. Since he still has “puppy brain” as many dogs of this breed do until they are 3 or 4, he needs exercise daily, which would be a nice long walk or if it is too hot, he loves to chase his Kong and will do so for 45 minutes! Cooper will eventually outgrow his current energy level as they all do, but needs daily activity and interaction. He is a very loving dog and after a good play session or long walk, he likes his belly rubbed and is a couch potato who's content to lounge. He is good in the car. He requires a block wall yard. He was housetrained before going to the kennel but could have an adjustment period as some dogs do after not being in a home for months. He is VERY smart and willing to learn new things. He previously lived with a small female dog, but he is very dog selective. He does not like male dogs and has liked very few female dogs. (His former roommate whom he lived with has just been rescued also). He does not like cats. If you are interested in this handsome boy, please fill out an adoption or foster application, and we will send it to his current guardian so that she can contact you! Thank you very much.
