Skye was found by a Good Samaritan, malnourished and heartworm positive. She was not spayed, had a urinary tract infection, and had definitely had multiple litters of puppies in the past. She has since been treated for her heartworms and been fully vetted.

Skye loves people and is eager to please. She is incredibly smart and likes to be put to work. Her foster mom plays a game of hiding her breakfast around the house for her to find. This is her favorite game. Skye can sometimes gets jumpy and nips when overly excited, but her foster mom simply crates her for a few minutes to calm her down. During the day, Skye is not crated and has free roam of her foster home, but she is good in the crate. She enjoys sitting on the couch and watching out the front window.

Skye knows sit, stay, and lay down. She loves to cuddle on the couch with her people. She is a very loyal girl and is sensitive. She enjoys running for short distances, but she tires easily. She enjoys car rides and wants to go everywhere her people go. Skye likes to go on walks, but she is leash reactive at the sight of another dog so she would love a confident leader that can handle her quirks. Skye needs to be the only dog in the house at this time. Her foster mom thinks there is a possibility that she may be okay if a puppy was introduced to the household at a later time.
