Howdy there, I'm Celeste. I was told that I'm 8 years old and about 7 pounds but I don't believe it, not for one second! I love to run around and play with the resident dogs in my foster home - they're a Husky, a Pitbull, and another Yorkie like me. Sometimes the big dogs forget how big they are when we play and I have to tell them to give me some space, though. I'd love another doggy friend to play with in my forever home, just.. maybe one closer to my size or that is respectful of my petite stature.



I am also learning all sorts of things in my foster home. Namely, where to potty. Most of my life it hasn't mattered where I pottied, but now it does. That transition is tough, but I think I'm getting the hang of it! Foster mom will cheer and tell me I'm a good girl when I potty in that really cold stuff outside (I think it's called "snow"? Whatever it is, I don't care for it!) I get so happy when she cheers for me that I do a happy dance! Foster mom also has a potty pad inside near the door, and I'm pretty good about pottying on that spot, too. I also really like to run around and not be told *where* to go to the bathroom outside, so I'll need a fenced in yard so I can pick the perfect spot to go every time.



When I'm all done playing with the other dogs and doing my business I like to curl up with my foster sisters and take a nap. I don't need one, but I'd sure really love a dog sibling to cuddle with in my forever home.



 



 




Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.

ADOPTION EVENTS:  




Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

FOSTER CARE:





All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:





Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
