Munchie is an adorable, tiny Dachshund mix. He is only about 5 pounds and we estimate that he is around 4 years old. Munchie came into the shelter as a stray and was very relieved to be in a home when OPA pulled him. Since he is so small and we are not sure what he went to before coming to the shelter, he is nervous and takes time to open up. Because of this, Munchie would do best in a home with someone who is older and lovingly patient. He would also do well with another dog in the household to help him gain his confidence. He is in good health besides being heartworm positive, but with the slow kill method (monthly heartworm medication), he will be good as new in no time! The time you spend with Munchie to develop your relationship will be well worth the result to give this little guy a permanent forever home!
