Hermione (VA) the Dog needs a home
Lovely Hermione, a petite lady of 8.5 lbs., didn't have the easiest life before her rescue. She has lived all of her 10 years in a dimly lit garage, giving birth to litter after litter of puppies, and spending most of her time in a crate. But now that she's in her foster home, this plucky little gal is slowly coming out of her shell. Hermione has made remarkable progress learning basic things like house-training, being comfortable in open spaces, and walking on a leash. She still has an occasional accident in the house, but has learned to use the dog door and is very reliable if kept on a schedule. Hermione gets along wonderfully with her canine foster brothers and sleeps soundly through the night. She remains quite timid and retreats to her crate when she is uncomfortable with a situation, but she is incredibly sweet and clearly wants to be loved. Hermione is looking for a family who will continue to be patient with her as she discovers the wonders of being a cherished family pet.
