There are numerous aspects you have to consider when taking care of a cat, especially when it comes to nutrition. But you need to see this from a different perspective. Cats are sensitive creatures just like humans, with plenty of necessities when it comes to maintaining a proper health and condition. And feeding is one of the most important aspects that affect their overall well-being. For more information please visit our website at www.animalshelter.org
The unexpected may happen and it is very possible that you will find a yellow spot on the floor or on your favorite carpet in the living room. The author of this will be your loving pet. And now what? How do you clean up the mess and how do you teach your pet to do this outside or in his special box? For more information please visit ouor website at www.animalshelter.org
Adopting a pet is a noble gesture. You are basically the savior of that soul and you are responsible for his life from that point forward. The post-adoption time is a real treat for anyone that is looking for a furry companion. However, the pre-adoption process can be a real nightmare for those that do not know much about adoptions. Wildlife living in forests are having a hard time these days, with clear cutting trees for new housing development that is going on. Some species are slowly becoming extinct. That means that our rapid growth might cause the complete disappearance of certain types of animals. Surely we, as responsible individuals, can do something about this. But what is there to be done? Ervin the Dog needs a home
If you're looking for the ultimate snuggle bug, Ervin could be the dog for you! Ervin, affectionately called Vinnie by his foster mom, is a 5 year old Lab mix and one of the happiest dogs you'll ever meet! Ervin absolutely loves attention and will gently ask for more by kissing your hands, leaning against you, or resting his paw on your leg. If you're sitting on the couch he'll try to climb into your lap, but will settle onto a nearby dog bed if you say no. His foster mom thinks he is part cattle dog or similar and says he'd make a fantastic running, hiking, and adventure buddy, although he doesn't seem to need a ton of exercise every day- he's just happy to go along with you wherever you want to go. Ervin has excellent house manners and is housetrained in a condo. He is fostered with another dog and has met other dogs on walks and at doggie day camp and done well with all of them. The camp staff say that he's 90% lover and 10% play. Ervin isn't phased by bikes, motorcycles, skateboards or lots of people either. He has had some training at some point- his foster mom reports he knows sit, wait and shake and probably many more that he'd love to show off for you! He's familiar with a leash and has a very close heel when crossing the street or directed, but otherwise is so happy to be on an adventure with his people sometimes he forgets his manners. We think he'll remember them quickly and be easy to train to walk on leash the way you want to walk him. You'll love walking this sweet boy around your neighborhood- his happiness is contagious and you can't help but smile when you see him. Ervin can't wait to find a family who will make him the center of their world!
This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in their current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is completing the adoption application, available with our adoption process on our website at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
