Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat)

Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat) Dog

LEO the Dog needs a home

Leo lived on a chain most of his life and would like to spend his well-deserved retirement as a valued member of the family, in the home. He''ll earn his keep by lots of kisses on the cheek and cuddles because he absolutely loves people! He will also make you laugh and cheer you up when you are sad. Leo likes other dogs too (smaller dogs especailly) so if you have a dog at home already, bring them in for a meet and greet. Our staff can help guide the process. He lived with another male dog and a goat in his previous home. Yep, a goat!

He walks really nice on a leash and knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and shake! He still needs some help with house-training because of his history of living outside, but he''s clever like a fox and will be happy to learn new things. Especially if there are treats involved. He takes treats very gently.

We don''t have any history of Leo with cats or kids. We think he would be a fan of kids, because they''re just smaller versions of his favorite thing in the world, which is people. He has a really gentle and friendly temperment. If you want to try him with cats, we recommend proper slow introductions overa few weeks to make sure it''s a good fit.

This guy is up for any adventure, he''s really not very fearful at all. He enjoys car rides, meeting strangers, going new places and sniffing new things. Everyone will take a double-take at this unique looking guy and probably argue about whether he looks more like a fox, wolf or coyote. He might look like a wild creature but he''s as sweet and silly at they come!
