Labrador Retriever / Beagle (short coat) Dog

Folly the Dog needs a home

Folly has had a hard life, but she doesn't let it get her down! This 40-lb girl, who we estimate is between 6 and 8 years old, was turned in to a high-kill shelter along with her puppiesby their owner. They were living in a pen in the backyard and were turned in because they were "annoying because they kept getting out of the pen." This was not Folly's first litter, as we can tell by looking at her poor belly. She was so happy to get out of the shelter and into a foster home. She was spayed (no more puppies! Yay!) and then had an additional surgery to remove some mammary tumors, but she now has a clean bill of health. Folly is the snuggliest, most exuberant girl ever! She LOVES all people, loves food, loves blankets and couches. She is completely house-trained, surprisingly, after having been an outside dog all her life. She is currently in a foster home with 7 other dogs and does fine with them. She would rather be in a home with only one or two other dogs so she could get more of the snuggling she missed for her first years. She does well in her crate, but she doesn't need to be crated because she has never tried to chew anything that's not a dog toy. She would love to have a nice couch to lie on and a people bed to sleep in while cuddling with her favorite person. Could you be Folly's special person and make her life even better than it is now?
