Meet Zappa...he's really one of a kind!
Poor Zappa showed up at a local shelter with an old injury that had never been treated. Unfortunately, it resulted in him not being able to use one of his front legs. Zappa had already learned to maneuver with only three legs, so when his injured leg had to be amputated, this resourceful guy didn't miss a beat.
Zappa is in a foster home with young children and he seems to do well with kids of all ages. He's also been well behaved and playful with other dogs in the home and during his visits to the vet's office. However, he didn't do as well during his doggie daycare evaluation and may need some work on his dog-to-dog play manners.
Zappa was quick to potty and crate train, and while he doesn't LOVE his crate, he is okay being crated when no one is at home. Zappa is a happy, affectionate and energetic young dog. He enjoys a daily walk and playing with dog toys. His foster family is teaching him some basic commands and say he has a great personality.
