Vacaville - Cheeky from Turkey! the Cat needs a home


Cheeky came in all the way from Turkey.



21 months old (as of Jan), sugar-sweet girl, eager to please! Currently at the Vacaville Petco.

 

Cheeky lived on a very busy cross road near the mosque. She used to come out to greet the rescuers, was always looking for cuddles and wanted to sit on their laps rather than even eat her dinner. She is one of the friendliest little cats and one of their volunteers called her "rock star" as her croak reminded her of a rock star she had heard.

 

Why did we rescue from Turkey?? There are three things you should know:

1. Our WT&F founder is very much open to rescuing from other states and countries as possible due to an extensive family history and experiences with her mother and children being adopted. Her love for humans and animals in need has no borders.

2. Also to note, each one of these animals' transfer fees, adoption fees, health certificates, foreign vet fees or transport fees has NOT cost this rescue a dime. We are simply giving them new chances, so our donators can rest assured we are not "wasting" funds on animals not in our area! We appreciate you and your donations and want you to know this.

3. The street animals of Turkey are nearly always abused. They are purposely hit by cars, poisoned, and otherwise physically targeted. It's an existence that is purely miserable. Their chance of finding a home in Turkey is beyond slim. Their only hope of living longer than a few years is finding refuge out of the country.


We have two locations to view our kitties: Napa Petco and Vacaville Petco. Sometimes kitties move locations or go into foster for a break. Please stop by our two locations to look at kitties any day, and then come into our adoption events on the weekends.
