Adopt a Boxer / Labrador Retriever / Mixed

ACTIVE OLDER GIRL:  8 years old / 42 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I may be a little older, but I sure don’t act like it.  I’m active, curious, love to meet and greet new people and I’m sweet too!  In fact, I must stay a little calmer than I normally would.  You see, my previous owners didn’t keep me current on Heart Worm prevention, so I have HW’s.  The good news is that due to my age, the slow kill method will be best for me, which is easily done at home with a treat each month. Yum!!  (Just ask for more about that if you think I’d make a nice addition to your family) I love getting out and taking walks with my people and I’ll need you to help me not pull on the leash, as I’m always ready to go, but should only take calm walks for now.  I like car rides and can be a little like a jumping bean, so keep me secured in the car or perhaps the non-driver can sit with me and hold my leash.  I’m just so happy to be doing things!  My potty manners have been very good on the shelter schedule and I’ve been well behaved in my large crate too.  I’d likely do best as your only dog as I haven’t cared for the other dogs I’ve met.  I did alright with some when I was on my leash, but once off leash with them, we had a scuffle. If you have another dog at home, we’d need to meet first to see if we can be friends.  But I’ll be a great only dog, giving you, all my love and having a great time together!  I’m not a big fan of being touched when eating, as most dogs aren’t, so I may give a growl, but that’s the only think I’ve done while at the MM facility. I met a nice kitty at MM’s, and I pretty much ignored her, so if you have a nice kitty in your home, maybe we can be friends, or at least roommates. I haven’t met many kids yet, so and think that a home with older respectful kids will be best due to my reaction to other dogs and wanting to eat alone.  Energy level:  5-7.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed and my adoption fee is $275.00.
