Pit Bull Terrier / Terrier / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Chance-Guest Dog Program the Dog needs a home

Chance is a handsome Pitbull Terrier mix, with the shiniest coat and cutest ears we’ve ever seen. He is a medium sized pup, weighing in about 40 pounds and estimated to about 2 years old. His ears often stand up as if he’s saying “you want to play?” or lie down when he’s relaxed and getting loved on. He has a scar on his back and on his previously broken leg that tell us that he had a rough life prior to being found. His rescuers have made a promise to him that he will always be well cared for, loved and that he will find a forever family soon.

Chance is his happiest when he is with his people. He is a perfect inside dog because he loves to snuggle on the couch or in bed. He quickly turns playful when he is given toys. Chance is very grateful for every ounce of attention he is shown and rewards you with tail wags, loyalty, sweet looks and, if you’re really lucky, a kiss! He simply wants to please his family. He loves to romp and play in the yard and at the park. The car ride to the park might be his favorite part of the whole day!

He is still quite shy meeting new people and can be a little fearful too, but that is very common in rescued dogs that have seen rough times. He does well meeting new people by doing slow, stress-free introductions. He is very bonded to his rescuers and they love him just as much, but know that he would be happier in a smaller, calmer household with more one on one attention. He would love a new owner that’s always willing to play and explore with him. He would be happiest in a family where he can be the only dog. Chance is not good with cats and shouldn’t be adopted into a family with cats or with neighborhood cats that often visit. He doesn’t like to be alone for super extended periods of time, so a normal workday would likely be the longest we’d suggest. If you work from home or even if he got to go to the office to “manage”, he’d enjoy that a lot.

He is fully vaccinated, neutered and on heartworm preventative. He is housebroken and is getting better on his leash walks with practice. If you’d like more information about Chance or to meet him, please email us at [email protected].
