American Staffordshire Terrier / Basset Hound / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Ziggy the Dog needs a home

Ziggy is a dog who’s come such a long way! Rescued off the streets of West Dallas, he’s now a sweet boy of 2 years old, AND an Obedience School graduate! He’s learned multiple commands, happily complies with them. Ziggy’s also unique in appearance. He’s got the blocky head of a Staffordshire terrier, but his short legs and build hint at maybe some basset hound in his family tree?

He’s now been neutered, brought up to date with all vaccinations, he’s heartworm negative (and on preventative, of course), and absolutely loves both children and adults.

Ziggy is still fearful of other dogs, however, so his new home should be just for him! He’ll reward his new family with deep love, wonderful playtimes, and opportunities for tummy rugs. (Lots of tummy rubs! ? )

If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!

The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Ziggy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
