Adopt a Shepherd / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat)

Shepherd / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat) Dog

Hera the Dog needs a home

It's been a long haul with Hera, almost exactly a two years since we took her in from the Ft. McDermitt Reservation.

Hera had a horrible fear of the leash, and it has taken this long to get her to where she is comfortable with people and likes going for walks.

She's a super happy, friendly girl now that she's learned to trust humans. Hera would be a great family dog, she is super sweet and affectionate.

Hera was just diagnosed as having an enlarged heart. She is on Lasix and Encard for the condition. She will need to stay on these medications for the rest of her life, but she has already shown improvement and her coughing has stopped.

Our vet said that Hera can still live a fulfilling life, and could have several more years if she stays on her medication. If you would like to make her part of your family, we'd love to hear from you.

All of our dogs are available for a $150 donation. This includes them being spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and fully vaccinated.

To adopt a dog, we require an approved pre-application, as well as a securely fenced yard. This means an actual, physical, fence. "Invisible" fences are not acceptable, sorry. If you live in an apartment and do not have a yard, we are not able to adopt to you.

Please contact us at: [email protected] for details.

Please note: we typically do not do "out of the area" adoptions. This would be any location more than 60 miles away from the Reno/Carson City area.
