Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) Cat

Zinnia the Cat needs a home

I’ve been waiting for my forever home since April 2016.

Zinnia is a very beautiful kitty - inside and out! Zinnia is very sweet, but tends to be shy when meeting new people. Zinnia was turned into a local animal control along with her 3 babies. Zinnia became very depressed and stopped eating and producing milk. We showed her lots of love and attention while in foster care and got her through this hard transition. She finally started to eat and show her loving and affectionate side. She cared for her babies and now that they are weaned, it's time for momma to be spayed and find a forever home. Zinnia is such a  sweet kitty and will take time to open up but once she does, she will love you forever. Zinnia is playful and loves to perch in a cat tree and watch the birds. She is good with other cats and is dog tolerant to mild mannered pups. Zinnia would do best in a home with children that are older because of her shyness to loud noises. Please take the time to get to know Zinnia and fall in love.

This kitty is currently located at the

Cat Corner Shelter.

Address: 85 Fulton Street, Hampton VA 23663

Viewing Hours: Tuesday - Saturday from 10am to 2pm; Other by appointment

Applying to Adopt

Once you and your family have spent time with the cats in the adoption room and are ready to adopt,

please visit the adoption section of our website:

thecatcornerinc.com/adopt

Our adoption process page will provide you with all of the information you need to know about adopting through our organization, including what to expect, what information we will require from you, and finding your purrfect match.

Thank You For Choosing to Adopt!!

As a no-kill rescue, we can only bring in and save more cats and kittens in need as our current cats and kittens are adopted. This is why we say that when you adopt one cat or kitten you are actually saving TWO lives! One is the current cat or kitten that you are adopting, the second is the one that we now have room to save and place into our safe shelter.
