Hi there! My name is Duke and no, heck, I’m not royalty or anything close to it...I do have a very dignified air about me though, honestly, folks, put me in your lap and pet me, and I turn into butter…. well, ok, maybe not butter, but I purr and purr and I love being brushed. I came from a particularly tough shelter and Maine Coon Adoptions just decided that one more “mature” cat couldn’t die that day in that shelter, so I was rescued. Thank you, Maine Coon Adoptions!

I was born in 2003 and that makes me in my early 70s in human years. I have had blood work done, my liver and kidney are great, I have mild kidney disease and I’m eating my special kidney food with gusto! I’ve had all my teeth removed so no problems there I am fine with other kitties and I can be a single kitty; I’m probably fine with dogs and most children.
