Kono the Cat needs a home



All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff.  If you have questions concerning a specific animal,  PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch.  We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed.  Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments.  Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants.  The adopter will be chosen at that time.  The process can take anywhere from a week to a month.  We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!





 


Kono has come a long way since joinging the rescue back in april of 2017. She was dropped off on a farm randomly in Anneville and left to fend for herself. Kono came into the rescue very timid and very pregenant. She couldn't even stand the sight of other animals without throwing a fit. She has since had her 5 beautiful babies, has been spayed, UTD on shots, litterbox trained, and worked with. Now she very much considered a domesticated kitty cat. Although she isn't the biggest fan of being petted all the time, she enjoys being with you wether your making dinner or sitting on the couch watching TV. She finds comfort on your lap and falls asleep peacefully. She also has many feline and K9 foster brothers and sisters that she now enjoys being around. She is getting better everyday with new surroundings. She has worked really hard to get to where she is today by adapting to her new life. Her ultimate reward would be you in a forever home.

Update 1/15/18: Kono is doing fantastic in her foster home. She is getting use to be petted on a regular basis and she even asks to be petted by rubing up against your hand and loves her chin scratched! She loves receiving attention and praise. She especially loves treats!! When you shake that bag, boy does she ever some running!! She enjoys the company of other animals and people. One of her new favortie things to do is craw up on your lap while your watching tv or just relaxing and she curls up and goes to sleep. She may not enjoy being touched 24/7, but does she ever love to be with you and keep you company!!

Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to 
families with children under the age of 5.  We do not adopt dogs to renters.  Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.



 



A pet is a lifetime commitment.  The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners.  We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.  Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
