Tavi the Dog needs a home
Tavi is a handsome almost-10-years-young male Black and Tan Shepherd mix who needs to find a new home ASAP. His situation is unfortunate: he has lived happily with his family since he was just 6 weeks old, being a loyal and faithful companion. Then, several years later, kids came into the picture. He did beautifully with the kids until he got older and a little slower and achier. Now he doesn't tolerate the hugging and hyperactive behaviors, and (due to a messy family situation) the mom is being forced to give him up (euthanize or rehome). We have evaluated Tavi and determined that he is a stable and loving dog but just needs an adult-only home now. He is house trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, friendly with other dogs of all sizes, and would love to live out his years with someone who can provide him with a calm and loving environment. Tavi is currently on glucosamine and anti-inflammatory medication for moderate arthritis but his mobility is still very good; he has no other health conditions. We have tested him with a dog-savvy cat and he was non-reactive.
Adoption Info: Tavi's adoption fee is $250. Tavi will be adopted neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and with a veterinary examination. Tavi's adoption fee is a donation to a 501c3 dog-rescue organization dedicated to saving dogs at risk for euthanasia.
