Adopt a Jack Russell Terrier (Parson Russell Terrier) / Brussels Griffon / Mixed (long coat)
Otis of Granville - Meet me in Arden this weekend! the Dog needs a home
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion.
A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known.
Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.

What kind of home would be best for me? I would love a home with a family that has a lot of love to give. I'm pretty calm but I do like to explore. I'm fine with other dogs, but they need to be confident dogs because I tend to pick on the ones that give off nervous energy. Cats are okay I guess; I pretty much ignore them.
What is my personality like? I'm Otis and I came to the farm under the background story that I lived in a fenced yard with a few others for a while. I didn't get a lot of attention so now I'm trying to make up for it. You could just be sitting there working and you will feel my little paws on your leg staring at you with a little grin until I get attention. I'm very good at sniffing things out. I love to smell and see new places and things. I'm very observant- you can't sneak anything or anyone by me without me introducing myself! Your attention is what I prefer over toys, I don't even know what those are yet. I can be a little head shy especially when telling me to sit with a treat over my head, but I will sit. The head shyness will eventually go away once I am used to it. I just need to learn what it is like to be a house pet. Can you show me?
How do I act when I first meet new people? I'm friends with everyone!
Other tips and tidbits:
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
