Mister the Dog needs a home
My name is MISTER! I am an 9 year old, 12 pound Chihuahua mix! While I am happy to be part of a one dog family, I get along well with my foster siblings. I have discovered I like the touch of a human although I lived on my own for quite some time. I am pretty independent unless you want to scratch me where I like it or you have a little treat in your hand or want to take me for a walk. Did I mention I like to be scratched? (I never knew this until recently) I have spent a lot of time on my own in inhospitable surroundings so I am a little rough around the edges sometimes. A good Samaritan found me tied to a road sign in Mt Baldy and it was the beginning of the good life for me!) . While I may be approaching middle age (I am 8 years old as per my vet). I have plenty of energy and a literal spring in my step to be a member of a forever family.
My foster parents think I am a very clever and quick to learn and I am their favorite escape artist. I am house broken most of the time but need occasional reminders about the difference between indoors and outdoors because I have spent so much time living on my own. I have learned that humans can be sweet and kindness is wonderful!
I am ready to be adopted by the right family, couple or person but please remember, I like my coffee strong, light and with a touch of chocolate, as I must confess I am a coffee thief (that is what my foster mom calls me when I take a sip or 2 or 3 of her coffee).
