Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)
Maggie the Cat needs a home
Maggie seems perfectly happy to be an inside cat after her years on the street. She interacts well with the other cats, even sleeping with them. She seems to like her foster mom as well and understands her role as the caretaker and food distributor. Maggie often comes into the bedroom in the morning to call for breakfast and she can be quite chatty at times. And though she is bonded with and quite attached to her foster mom, she does not like to be handled or petted or touched in any way. Maggie may never develop a taste for being touched, preferring to cuddle up with other cats. But in her foster home, she is nonetheless very relaxed and happy; eating and sleeping well. Maggie has even become rather playful and likes to take long siestas during the day - the way most cats do. Her foster mom has been working with her, and has gotten her to the point where she will approach her hand (holding Temptation treats), getting in sniffing distance, but Maggie bolts if she inches her hand closer. She's also tried touching Maggie's back with a wand while she eats, but no dice (at least not yet!). Maggie will need a very patient and understanding caregiver to adopt her. The perfect adoptive home for Maggie is one in which she can cosy up with at least one other cat or multiple cats, and in which the adopter appreciates Maggie for all her wonderful qualities, without necessarily needing or expecting all that touchy feely stuff.
