Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed
Maggie the Dog needs a home
On the evening of October 30th, two teenage boys were beating a pit bull mix with wooden bats as she lay unable to move from numerous broken bones and injuries. Unable to defend herself or run to safety, the torture only stopped when a Good Samaritan chased the abusers away and brought Maggie to a neighbor for help. The Animal Assistance League of Orange County rushed Maggie to Advanced Critical Care Veterinary hospital where Maggie was found to have multiple pelvic fractures, two fractured ribs numerous lacerations and possible leg nerve damage. Maggie is still healing from these traumatic injuries, but has regained her love of life. She is a very loving and trusting dog, and greets everyone with a wiggle and a grin. Feeling a little better each day, she is starting to show a more goofy and playful side. Maggie is such a resiliant and happy dog, and deserves to find a safe loving home where she will never have to hurt again. She will need to be the only pet, and will undoubtedly return all the love and devotion she recieves completely.
