Jiffy gets very attached to one or two family members and will guard them from other members of the family and friends. Jiffy would be best with a couple or single person who understands Jiffy really needs to be crated when friends come to visit so he doesn't stress out and snap at them. This isn't mean to him and its actually less stress on him being away from the thing that distresses him. In his prior family he bit a couple of family members who came into his favorite family members space....he thought he was protecting them. He has been seen by a Animal Behaviorist and needs structure and not being pushed to do things that stress him out to that point.

My name is Jiffy and I was rescued by Furry Kids' Refuge from a kill shelter when I was picked up as a stray and never claimed. I was so sick & scared at the shelter and it took Furry Kids' a few weeks to help me get well and not be so scared. I'm now so excited when people visit me and take me out to play. I want to be held & loved on and just snuggled with. I am completely a people dog.......means I'm happiest with people!! I do get along well with other dogs but could be adopted into a home with or without other animals......I would be happy either way. I walk well on a leash but am constantly trying to get up in your arms if you allow me too. I would be a great companion to most any family but probably not with families with young babies/toddlers because they tend to want to pick us little guys up and are not usually the most gentle with us small guys. I have the cutest face and most times my ears can't decide whether they want to stand up or flop over.
