A167523 Natel never really could get `into` being a shelter dog despite her having spent nearly 8 months (half her life) in our care. She is finally in a foster home where we''re starting to see her true colors! Natel was very timid here and at our UTOPIA program at Taylor Correctional Institution. She is STILL a bit shy an submissive, but really seems to enjoy home life. She is doing well with the resident dogs and cats, is crate trained, knows basic obedience (but if she doesn''t trust you, might be too scared to strut her stuff) and is looking for somebody who has the patience to let her get used to you at her own pace. Once she does, you have a 52 lb friend for life.
