Shell is a spunky, playful and independent little girl. Her hobbies include exploring all corners of our home, playing with her sister Bandit, and watching squirrels and birds outside. When Shell first arrived in rescue, it was clear that she hadn’t had much (if any) interaction with humans and was very timid and shy. She is now much more confident and comfortable – she isn’t much of a cuddler but she really enjoys getting skritched and petted and has a great loud purr. She can still be a little skittish around new people and environments, so a home that is fairly calm would be best for her. She gets along great with our resident dog and loves our resident cats (they’re not so sure they love her back) – she’d definitely enjoy having another feline friend to play with (maybe even her sister!) and keep building her confidence – but would be fine as an only cat as well. She’ll need a family who can continue to help her build trust and be patient with her when she gets spooked or shy – and probably should be in a home with older children (or no children). She’ll be a great, loyal friend for anyone willing to let her be her little spunky and independent self!
