Champ the Dog needs a home

Champ is a 2 year old GSD mix who was surrendered to the local shelter due to owner losing her job and home. He was surrendered with his sister Lady who he is very bonded to and although we first thought they should be adopted as a pair we feel separated they may flourish into their own individuality and be able to be more trusting of people. Whatever happened to Champ in his previous home has made him fearful upon first meeting strangers but once he gets to know you he is a very loyal and loving guy!  Champ needs a family that will work with his insecurities and be willing to continue the training plan that is recommended to ensure success. Champ loves to run and play and spend quality time with his people. We recommend a home with medium to large dogs if other pets are in the family. Cats are a NO. Adoption will not be considered with children under the age of 12.
