Nina Simone LOVES playing with children and adults!
This happy, playful girl appears to be a Spitz mix about 1.5 to 2 years old. She can be a bit timid right at first when meeting new people, and may flinch when you reach to pet her, but her hesitation is gone in seconds when she realizes she's going to get pets and then she's a kissing machine! She great with other dogs and even kitty cats! Nina currently resides in a shelter environment so she will need house training, but she's already crate trained and walks well on a leash. She very content to ride crated in the car and loves going places. A fenced yard is the ideal safe place for her run and play fetch, which she loves to do, but if that's not an option then daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park or doggie daycare will take care of her exercise needs. She will also benefit from mental exercise - think puzzle toys and games. Nina is eager to please, toy and treat motivated, and smart - the perfect combination to ace obedience class where she can continue her socialization, learn lots of cool stuff, and get in some quality bonding time with her new forever human(s). Nina is a follower when playing with other dogs and will do whatever everyone else is doing. She's not a barker, but only barks while she's playing.
Once playtime's over, Nina Simone would LOVE to cuddle up with her people. She's such a sweet girl and is hoping that you're into playing and cuddling as much as she is. Fill out an application today and let her know you'd love to make her your play-buddy and cuddle-bug!
Nina's Backstory: She was dropped off at the vet's by a woman who told the vet that the local rescue had said they'd take her. The rescue doesn't know who she was, and it was discovered that Nina was pregnant when they spayed her.
