Adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Tyra the Dog needs a home
Named for the fierce American model and icon, Tyra is one bold and beautiful lady! Tyra is a gorgeous Staffy who was rescued from a kill shelter in San Bernardino County. She arrived with her ears swollen to the point where they resembled grotesque cauliflowers. A visit to the vet confirmed that they were a culmination of bad ear infections left untreated in her previous life. We also confirmed that she is deaf. Tyra underwent TECA surgery, and after several weeks of recovery, she has a clean bill of health and is ready to find her forever people! Tyra is just under 4 years old as of September 2017. She is built strong and solid and tips the scales at 59 pounds. Tyra is phenomenal with other dogs of all sizes. In fact, her play group consists of little dogs a quarter of her size! Aside from her canine companions, Tyra also loves her humans. She enjoys being in the company of all people young and old. It’s hard to not fall in love with her sweet, affectionate, playful, and trusting personality. Despite the hand she was dealt, Tyra is still just as wonderful as ever. Come meet this lovely lady in person and she’ll be sure to win you over!
