Calling all the party people!!!
Now that I have your attention, allow me to introduce myself: I'm Ritz! I am currently accepting applications for my Forever Home. I guess you don't have to be a party person because I bring all the fun wherever I go! You do have to be ACTIVE though, because I like to do lots of fun stuff. There's no time for lazy! I'm a live-each-moment-to-its-fullest kind of guy. Well...I guess we could take a break for some snuggling 'cause I really like that, too, but don't tell too many people - that could totally ruin my image! You see, I was living down south on the wrong side of the tracks. I really had to fend for myself growing up. That had gotten old and I'm polishing up my manners now, and looking to settle down with a nice family (well, not really "settle" too much...). I would be happy with a family of just adults or one with kids. Kids get me all excited so sometimes I knock them down by accident, but it's a work in progress - and I do like them. I've been working really hard on my impulse control and obedience. I know "sit," "down," "crate," "leave it," "shake" (both paws), and "wait" (for meals, at doors, pedestrian walkways before crossing the street...and to pick up poop). I'm working on "spin" and "roll over." I'll work for treats, bully sticks and TOYS, so I can be convinced. I'm working on my house training and I've done great with my crate training. I call it my man cave. If I see you go to my crate with a Kong, I'll "auto-crate" and wait patiently for you to stuff it for me - well...okay, sometimes I'm not so patient and I'll whimper at you to stuff it faster. I really LOVE the car! It's like a giant moving man cave! We could go for rides, walks, a run - I'd love to do some agility training! Check out my hoop jumping skills in the video. Pretty cool, huh? Oh! And the agility tunnel is so much fun to do zoomies through! Speaking of agility, I think I'd really, really love it and maybe we could go for my Canine Good Citizen certificate. It teaches lots of stuff like recall, impulse control around loud noises or distractions like baby strollers, being left with a stranger temporarily on-leash, or being touched or brushed by a stranger and not reacting. I LOVE learning stuff!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
