Meet Lucky: DOB September 2015

Lucky was well named, he is a big handsome short haired ginger boy who was brought to the NTCR by one of our long-time volunteers. About three weeks ago early one morning as she was taking a walk she seen Lucky behind a crash barrier on Yonge Street, with the busy rush hour traffic only a few feet away. Frightened that he might suddenly panic and rush into traffic. She decided to try and pick him up and managed to grab him after a few efforts. She carried him to her home approximately fifteen-minute walk, which ended up taking about 30 minutes as he did manage to escape a couple of times but submitted to being pick up again and they got home safely. 
Lucky never tried to bite despite how scared and uncomfortable he must have been on the journey to safety. He was certainly very happy to have a large bowl of food and fresh water. Once his needs were taken care of he was brought to the NTCR and now Lucky has been vetted and is waiting for his furever home and family. At the shelter, he tends not to know how to relate with the other cats, likely due from being outside on his own for so long and having to fight to survive. He is very vocal, and loving but hasn't yet learned how to properly say I have had enough so it would be best if Lucky was the only cat in an adult home. Lucky loves chasing that red dot, playing with sponge balls and drowning toy mice in the water dish. When Lucky has used up some of that young energy you can find him hanging out on the window sill. Lucky will bring laughter and joy into a home.
