Adopt a Chihuahua (short coat)
Gwen the Dog needs a home
Gwen is just about the sweetest Chihuahua you will ever meet. She was born completely blind, but nothing stops her. She lives a completely normal life and there is nothing she cant do. Her video speaks volumes as to the normal life she lives. She was rescued from the Downey Shelter because, of course, she was being overlooked by everyone. We scooped her up and put her into foster care and we have learned so much about her. It will take her about a week to memorize your house. She is two years old and she has this down. It's not her first rodeo! Once she memorizes where the door is she will go outside and do her business. Gwen gets along with all dogs big and small, she will play with anyone. In her video, she loves her tennis ball. We slit a small hole in the tennis ball and put a jingle bell inside. She can find that ball anywhere. Gwen loves walks, car rides, sitting in your lap or following you around the house. She can hear you walk and talk and she just follows along. Really, this dog is quite remarkable. We would love to show you Gwen so you can see yourself there is nothing complicated about owning a blind dog. Children should be over the age of 7 and we would prefer you not have a pool in your backyard.
Gwen is in foster care and can be seen at the Animals Rule Saturday adoption event from 11am - 3pm at Creative Pet Supply -305 North Harbor Blvd. San Pedro, CA 90731. Please submit an application of interest first and read our adoption process link. Please do not call the Pet Supply Store. For a rapid response please contact us via e-mail at: [email protected]
