Big Dorito the Dog needs a home
Dorito is a basenji mix and possibly a smidge of lemon beagle in there, too. He is very friendly and affectionate and loves to sit in your lap. He is about 9 years old and 18-19#. He has been here since September of 2010 and would be very happy if someone would come and take him to his forever home! His drawbacks are that he doesn't like kids or dogs- he snaps when kids try to pet him and sometimes when dogs get in his personal space. But he loves adults and has been okay when in the presence of cats, rabbits, horses, and pigs. He's the kind of dog that you could take on walks and then watch TV with. He does very well on a leash. He has had basic training and knows sit, wait, stop, left, right, turn around, come, and down. He doesn't seem to be a big barker.
In his video on the right, he shows off some of the commands he knows- he responds to "follow me", and then when he gets distracted by dogs barking and starts to wander off, he responds to "come".
